Tsakhkadzor is located in
Kotayk region, Republic of Armenia and has 1700 inhabitants.
The distance from Yerevan, the capital of the Republic
is 60km, and from “Zvartnots” airport-75km.
The Yerevan-Tsakhkadzor highway was reconstructed and
asphalted in 2004 and is in good fettle now. The city
spreads out on the Eastern slop of Teghenis Mountain and
has 1840m height above the sea level. Tsakhkadzor is considered
to be a mountainous recreation resort.
The comfortable conditions and the appeal of nature hand
perfect opportunity to organize tourism all year through.
The city is surrounded by mountains and woods, and it
is well-known for its sweet natural springs.
The climate is mild and salubrious, the average temperature
in August is +17.8°C, and in January -6°C. The
annual precipitations are 600-700mm, and the duration
of annual radiance forms 2500 hours.
